[Forum] Losing Weight With the Grapefruit Diet

I am at 260 lbs. This time 2 years ago I was 190 Ibs. In between those pounds I had a baby, and went through a divorce.

I am following the grapefruit diet plan as of today until the weight is off. If you read this diet it is similar to the South Beach Diet phase 1 and 2. I am also re-introducing walking to my routine. Right now I have severe back and leg problems, because of the extra weight, but I am going to press on through.

I am online to ask for SUPPORTERS ONLY--this diet has worked for me and others that I know in the past. I know it is a restrictive diet, but what diet or diet and exercise plan is not restrictive?

Will I gain weight if I go back to the way I used to eat? YES, what kind of diet and exercise plan works after you decide to become a cookie-eating couch potato again? Duh!

This is about me being fit and able to play with my son, so no negative comments please!

I wouldn’t recommend a diet that denies you proper nutrition and if it keeps you perpetually hungry, you aren’t going to stay with it. Lack of vital nutrients, vitamins, etc. can trigger other health issues. Eating lots of vegetables can go along way towards satisfying your hunger and won’t make you gain weight. The American Dietetic Association can provide you with a great deal of information on this.
